Enid Liew was born in Malaysia and graduated from Massey University, Palmerston North with a degree in Finance. After graduating, she lived and worked in Singapore and Malaysia before moving to New Zealand in 2007. She now lives and works full time in Wellington. As a child, Enid found immense pleasure in drawing and painting. Due to family and work commitment, this recreational activity moved to the back burner. Between 2011 and 2013 she visited the countryside and medieval France with her partner. The experience inspired her to express the pristine architecture of the beautiful French villages in her drawings. A self-taught artist, Enid works primarily in pen and ink on Fabriano paper.
